KHCP-Clinic Project Rumtek/Sikkim/India - 2012 Part1
According to the wish of H.H. 17th Karmapa the old Rumtek hospital is to be re-established. In March 2012, both his Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa and Jigme Rinpoche assigned the task of building the medical structure of the hospital to the KHCP. We have been supporting Karmapa’s nunnery, Shamar Rinpoche’s school and Nedo Rinpoche’s monastery in Rumtek since 2005.
Now, we are ready to start this project! In collaboration with Jigme Rinpoche and “Infinite Compassion” - who have collected 17.000€ for the restoration of the building - we will be able to provide more support for the people in Rumtek and the surrounding mountain area.
The first on-site inspection will take place in December 2012. This initial assessment will be followed by regular reports on the reestablishment and all its developments.
