Dear friends worldwide,
in 2025 we could raised a total of about 97.488 €uro (before final proof). We hereby thank our supporters from our very hearts.
The KHCP celebrated its 20th anniversary in October 2025. We are pleased that we have been able to help with many friends from East and West and will continue to do so to the best of our ability.
We thank all the Rinpoches, principals, and helpers in all these places. Our joint action during the 2015 earthquake in Nepal and our activities during the coronavirus pandemic will remain unforgettable.
In summary, the KHCP's achievements in numbers – compiled for the KHCP's 20th anniversary in October 2025:

24 monasteries/nunneries + 3 orphanages of the Karma Kagyu lineage

1,100 volunteers – approximately 500 medical professionals from over 40 countries across all Kagyu sanghas.

Every volunteer, including PiaPeter, has worked without pay and without expenses to date. This means that the total activity amounts to about 116,000 hours or a value of approximately 13 million Euros, plus all out-of-pocket expenses such as flights, hotels, meals, etc.

Founders Pia and Peter gave 135 film presentations and lectures in 21 countries, organized 150 medical camps with up to 100,000 treatments, raised approximately €1.6 million in donations worldwide, and contributed over 60,000 volunteer hours over 20 years.

The work in the medical camps led to numerous Buddhist refuges (17th Karmapa) and Buddhist weddings performed at the camps.
Looking to the Future

The KHCP is a non-profit organization, and to maintain this status and to support our many donors, we require an annual report with a few photos from all beneficiary bodies. Only these organizations will be eligible to receive funds from the shared donation pool in the future.

As part of a shift towards more project-based work, we are currently planning the following projects:

A new high-power generator for the Shedra Complex Kalimpong, including guesthouses and the Karmapa's house, which we completed in April 2025.

Karma Chokhor Dechen Ling Nunnery - Here, we are in the planning phase for the reconstruction of the monastery for 30 women following severe earthquake damage. Fundraising is planned in consultation with Karmapa and Jigme Rinpoche in spring 2026 and with the assistance of the Friends of the Rumtek Nuns in Switzerland.

The heart of our work is the Monlam Medical Camp, where we receive great support from the Monlam Committee and Beru Khyentse Rinpoche's hospitality.
Anyone interested in participating in the next Monlam medicalcamp in December is welcome to contact us by email.

For 2025, we need again a minimum of 100,000 Euros to be able to provide the most basic of medical treatments and supports.
