Dear KHCP friends,
Although 2015 has been a very painful year, for the 10th anniversary of the Project we were able to show how much generosity and compassion we all have in us. Following the earthquake in Nepal, an enormous force of donors was mobilized, as well as friendly and helpful connections. We managed to collect a large amount of money (more than 170,000 Euros) and distributed it before September to all our institutes in Nepal
.
Over the year we ran numerous medical and dental camps at our institutes, monasteries and schools in the Himalayas. We provided you with detailed reports throughout the year via Facebook and our website. Our most important activity was the medical tour of Dr. Angelika and Dr. Sonam during the time of the earthquake.
The 8th Monlam Medical Camp was as successful as always. More than 40 helpers from the “East and West” were involved and managed to treat over 3,000 people.
Karmapa took the time to hold a meeting with all leaders of Karma Kagyu Institutes and Projects.

Ulrike remains in charge of the association’s funds. She also hands out the donation receipts (necessary only for German donations from 200 Euros/year).
In 2015, the KHCP was proud to collect approximately 70,000 Euros (excluding earthquake donations). Our deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to every supporter! Because of you, we are able to reach so many people with our help. Have a look at the chart with the current amount of donations by visiting the welcome page of our website.
For 2016, we need to collect a minimum of 90,000 Euros a year to be able to provide the most rudimentary treatments. Additionally, the activities of our clinic rooms are ever increasing, such as the one under construction at the Shaminub Monastery in Kathmandu. We will require additional funds to support this, which is why we have increased our donation need for additional training and vaccination programmes.

Karmapa Works Meeting during Kagyü Monlam in Bodhgaya/India
On 17th December 2015, H.H. Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje held a meeting for all Karma Kagyu monasteries, Rinpoches, NGOs and Projects at the Karma Gompa in Bodhgaya.
H.H. Karmapa stated that he gathered everybody as he wishes to enhance collaborations between the different groups.
The main points of H.H. Karmapa’s talk will be summarised in this report:

- continuing disengagement in political matters during increasingly difficult times
- basing all efforts and activities in the dharma and nothing else
- implementing simplicity in the design of our projects and activities, as we do within our dharma tasks
- introducing ourselves to one another and engaging in knowledge exchange
- sharing our approaches and developments (thereby increasing transparency)
- showing an interest for each other’s different activities and projects (networking, communication)
- approaching one another
- supporting one another
- engaging on the basis of benefiting others
- participating in an annual meeting of this kind during the Monlam (using the Monlam as a platform for exchange)
- Senior Rinpoches are to support these efforts
- jointly following the same goal
