17th KHCP Medical Camp Kagyu Monlam Bodhgaya 2024

His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje led the aspiration prayers recited during the Kagyu Monlam, including the “King of Aspiration Prayers”, also known as “Samantabhadra’s Wishing Prayer”.
Thousands of Rinpoches, lamas, monks, nuns, and lay practitioners have gathered in Bodh Gaya again this year to participate in this most significant event for Karma Kagyu practitioners around the world. 

For the 17th time this year, the KHCP - Karmapa´s Healthcare Project provided free medical checkups and healthcare for participants in this Kagyu Monlam as well as the local population.

This year a smaller KHCP team consisted of a total of 24 people, all of them voluntary helpers: general practitioners, physiotherapists, TTM practitioners, nurses, assistants, organisers and helpers. About 1,600 patients were treated during the Monlam at following places:

• Pick-up service at Mahabodhi Temple (Bodhi tree)
• KHCP-clinic at Nyingma Gompa Bodh Gaya
• Info stall at Maha Bodhi Society Hall
