We say goodbye to Marco, Angelika, Anna and Steffie in Bodhgaya, and we are glad that all three of them want to take part next time again.
We take the jeep back to Kathmandu. In our luggage the remaining medicine. We are allowed to store it in the Diamondway centre in Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu with Udo, Andreas, and Norbert. First, we sit down to write the Bodhgaya blog, then we’re off to more healthcare visits.
And we also want to make a pilgrimage through the Kathmandu valley. Naturally.

Day 3:
Today we are Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche’s guests at his monk school ‘Dhagpo Sheydrub Ling’ in Swayambhu.
Rinpoche has founded this school for orphans from the Manang region. Lama Phunsok is the headmaster and Nawang Lobsang one of the teachers.
We talk about what can be done next to improve health conditions. Ani Tenzin has helped us a lot. It becomes apparent that we have to solve a major skin problem amongst the younger ones. We can immediately count on massive support.
We get to work on it right on the next day. Anja Karg and Udo Hertes are our ‘Healthcare activists”.
Now we only have to get a fix on how many medical drugs we need (Dr. Angelika Leist had already given us precise curative instructions during Mönlam).
Appeal:
Dear friends of Karmapa’s Healthcare Project,
As you all must have learned that we have integrated Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche’s places into Karmapa’s Project.
To meet the basic sanitary and health needs of this school alone, we need a washing machine, linen, towels, etc.
We also need medicine and like to allow for a weekly visitation by a nurse. For that we urgently need 4,000 €uro to supply about 90 people.
For the time being we have covered the bare necessities from our personal funds. We really appreciate your help.

Day 5: We go up to Mahavihar in Swayambhu again.
In the mean time they have all received their new robes. We give a new picture of Karmapa to the headmaster for the day room.
In the afternoon we revisit the Braka gompa for Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche’s Amitabha session.
After that, Rinpoche invited us for dinner. We tell him about our KHCP activity in Rinpoche’s school. Lama Phuntsok and Ani Tenzin also joined us. We agreed to supply the school with a washing machine and to buy various necessary pieces of linen.
All were very happy about this first successful relief action. Rinpoche was so kind to give New Year greetings to all people world-wide.
