 HOW I CAN HELP

"How it began!" Activity Report 2006

After Gyalwa Karmapa founding the KHCP-Karmapas Healthcare Project with us in Oct. 2005 we travelled again to Asia two month later to start with the first campaigns at the stupa/monastery of Swayambhu/Kathmandu/Nepal.
Then we went to Kalimpong/North India for installing a generator and organizing a grand vaccination for all students/staff of the Shedra, Karmapa´s university.

Once the year a doctor will go from Kathmandu to Ladakh and will examine and provide for all the monks there. We initialise two cash-accounts with a logbook. With it the water supply and the medical drugs should be secured for the year.khcp

Our visit to Sikkim:
Here , by the way of other jobs, we check the water spring of the nunnery. Every year the monsoon destroys it - Peter develops a technical concept to solve that problem for long-term. We are still looking for sponsors and a good and cheap builder.
At Nedo Rinpoche´s place we give some money for the healthcare of his little monks and to build a new schoolbuilding for the Nyolonedo Monastery in Eastern Tibet.
Also for the monks and nuns at Karmapa´s Institutes in Rumtek and Takhda as the same like in Kathmandu und Kalimpong we create a health fond with a cashbook. We advice two monks/nuns on how to handle the money and the reports. To secure the water supply for Kathmandu we charge an extra amount (till end of 2006).

For the projekt we are looking for any small donation -  detailled infos here >>

Latest news: In August 2006 a second big vaccination programme was done in Kalimpong - thanks to Deborah and Christian from Germany and also Karma Sherab and Tsero. We wish that our activities are useful and benefit all beings, Pia and Peter Cerveny (KHCP).
