Letter concerning COVID-19 by KHCP

KHCP-Karmapa´s Healthcare Project, shares the following message for our monasteries, schools, orphanages in India/Nepal and friends around the world, concerning the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Message concerning COVID-19 by KHCP
Dear friends in the schools and monasteries in Nepal and India,
Peter and I are in Germany and we all experience a new worldwide situation. All of a sudden, it seems that we do not know what will happen tomorrow.
As Buddhists, we actually do know already that everything changes all the time. Yet the crisis makes this visible.
This is a good opportunity for all of us to fearlessly look at our own health in order to then benefit others.
We all are compassion in action.
To the best of our capabilities, we help and take care of each others.
Peter, I and the KHCP-team appeal to you to take good care of yourselves, stay at a physical distance yet stand together in mind. Keeping good hygiene, helping children and seniors, washing hands is important.
Please contact the KHCP when the monastery needs specific assistance such as medical support or money for persons hit by the disease!
We make good wishes for us all to meet again in good health and that we may overcome the crisis with more compassion as a result.
We know that this is what we can - and will - do!

Nachricht zum COVID-19 vom KHCP
Liebe Freunde in den Schulen und Klöstern Nepals und Indiens,
Peter und ich sind in Deutschland und wir alle erleben weltweit eine neue Situation.
Plötzlich scheint es so, nicht mehr zu wissen, was morgen ist.
Als Buddhisten wissen wir das ja eigentlich, daß alles sich die ganze Zeit verändert, doch Krisen machen dies sichtbar.
Dies ist eine Chance für uns alle - ohne Angst schauen wir auf unsere eigene Gesundheit, um dann anderen nutzen zu können.
Wir alle sind das Mitgefühl in Aktion.
Wir helfen uns so gut es geht, passen aufeinander auf.
Peter, ich und das KHCP-Team möchten Euch bitten, gut auf Euch aufzupassen, nicht zu nahe zu kommen, Abstand halten mit dem Körper und im Geiste zusammenstehen ist jetzt wichtig.
Haltet Sauberkeit, helft den Kindern und den Alten, Händewaschen ist sehr wichtig.
Bitte meldet Euch beim KHCP, wenn das Kloster Hilfe braucht, ärztlichen Rat und auch wenn es Geld für Kranke braucht!
Wir machen gute Wünsche, daß wir uns alle bald wiedersehen und wir alle die Chance nutzen, die Krise mit gestärktem Mitgefühl zu überwinden.
Wir wissen, wir können das!
