Jangchub Choeling Monastery of Shangpa Rinpoche in Pokhara/Nepal
(Since 2011 supported by KHCP)
Jangchub Choeling Monastery resides in Nepal. In 1967, it was named and officially recognised the monastic community under the guidance of Lama Dupsing Rinpoche by H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama.
Over the last 20 years, Shangpa Rinpoche has continually expanded and improved the facilities at the monastery. Starting from only 35 monks, the monastery now becomes the abode for hundreds of monks. It also stores many volumes of Kagyu texts and Tengyur (commentary by the Indian Buddhist Masters).
Since 2011 Karmapa´s Healthcare Project is managing annual medical checkups for the monastery and the local habitants.
